Interests Clinical Interests:
Dr. Hamburg's interests in music and martial arts have deepened her understanding and passion for neurology. She takes a comprehensive approach to evaluating each patient, looking for external and internal factors which affect the nervous system. She simplifies complex issues so patients may have a better understanding of their situation. She takes particular pleasure in helping patients gain insight, so they are comfortable making choices for themselves.
Specific conditions she treats include stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, dementia, epilepsy, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, migraine, occipital neuralgia, dystonia, ALS, radiculopathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, myopathy. Neurologic symptoms include weakness, vision problems, numbness, tingling, seizures, headaches, tremor, memory loss, insomnia, neck and back pain. She has training in Botox for spasticity, dystonia and headaches, median and occipital nerve blocks, and sleep problems.
