The gynecology services at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington are coordinated and supervised by Joe Chang, MD, who is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He works in conjunction with our residents and with other family medicine faculty who are trained in colposcopy and leep. The services provided range from nonsurgical consultation to operative gynecology. This includes contraceptive planning (from pills to IUD to the Essure). We work with you to find the right contraceptive depending on how permanent you want it. Additional services include evaluation of irregular menstrual bleeding, evaluation and treatment of lesions of the vulva from warts to cancerous changes, to fitting of pessaries for women with bladder control problems, and more.
