What's a provider?
A provider is the person who oversees your medical care. That may include examinations, tests, prescriptions, and other services related to your medical care. Your provider may be a physician (MD or DO) or physicians assistant (PA), nurse practitioner (NP), or certified nurse midwife (CNM).
