How to Contribute
All donations are gratefully received. They may take many forms, such as:
Named Gifts: When a major endeavor, like a building campaign, is underway, there are usually many naming opportunities for donors. Gifts of this nature can be made in memory of, or in honor of, a close friend or loved one.
Cash/Pledges: You may make a one-time cash gift, or consider a larger gift by making a pledge over multiple years.
Tribute and Memorial Gifts: A tribute gift can say thank you to a loved one, commemorate special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries or express appreciation for that "good deed." A memorial gift affords an opportunity to extend sympathy or to convey a heartfelt remembrance of someone.
Planned Gifts (including charitable bequests, beneficiary designations, annuities, remainder trusts, life insurance gifts, life estates and lead trusts): Planned gifts can provide specific advantages to donors while helping the Medical Center plan for the future.
Appreciated Securities: A contribution of stock or other appreciated securities (owned longer than one year) may result in a substantial gift and offers tax advantages.
Real Estate/Tangible Property: Gifts of such assets can often have tax advantages. Certain restrictions might apply.
In-Kind Gifts: In-kind gifts, donations which are not cash but tangible items, benefit the Medical Center in a variety of ways. Contact us for more information.
One hundred percent of all donations to the Southwest Washington Medical Center Foundation goes to the program fund you designate. It's easy to make a contribution to the Southwest Foundation; just follow these steps to donate now.
- Use this mail-in donation form, or make a secure online donation
- E-mail foundation@swmedicalcenter.org, call or write the Foundation, and give us the details: Your Name, Address, City, State and Zip as well as a phone number.
- Amount of gift; make check payable to: Southwest Foundation. We also accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover.
- Tell us how you want your gift used (the fund name): i.e. Area of Greatest Need, Cancer Center, Ray Hickey Hospice House, etc.)
- If your gift is "in honor of" or "in memory of" someone, please provide the person's name as well as the name and mailing address of the person or family member you would like us to notify about the fact that you have made a gift. We do not disclose the amount of your gift to the person you ask us to acknowledge.
You will receive a thank you letter and receipt for your generous donation. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Thank you for your support!
