Grants and Scholarships

The PeaceHealth Southwest Foundation manages a number of grant programs on behalf of the Medical Center. These include:

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Health Career Scholarships
Health Career Scholarships are funded by sales from PeaceHealth Southwest's two gift shops located on the main campus and provide financial assistance to qualified graduating high school seniors and adult students pursuing a course of study relevant to health care in either an undergraduate or graduate program. Scholarships are awarded in several categories, including Employees, Junior Volunteers and Community. Awards range from $1,000 to $6,000 and are renewable upon reapplication.

HOSPITAL PROGRAMS

Education Grants
The Foundation Board sets aside $20,000 of its unrestricted funds each year to be granted to the Medical Center in the form of educational grants. Department directors may apply for these funds to enhance employee education and training.  These funds are not used to meet standard educational requirements, but rather to supplement existing budgeted funds. Participants are asked to share their knowledge with others in the organization upon return.  If you would like more information, please contact us.

Restricted Funds
The Foundation also manages a number of restricted funds and endowments on behalf of the Medical Center. These funds support programs such as Heart & Vascular, Diabetes Education, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Cancer Center, the Breast Care Center and the Hospice Southwest program.  For more information about restricted funds, please go to Funds and Donations or contact us.
