The Pacific Northwest is a paradise for hikers and mountain climbers; clammers, crabbers and fishermen; white water rafters; wind-surfers; and skiers (water, cross country and downhill).
In any direction the scenery is eye catching. Snow capped mountains; evergreen forests sprinkled with deciduous trees, wildflowers, and ferns; rocky shores of the Pacific and coastal mountains; and the majestic Columbia River Gorge bring awe, wonder and balm to the spirit.
