Clinical Interests Dr. Toni Storm-Dickerson graduated with honors from Oregon State University in Microbiology. She then took a position at Oregon Health Sciences University at The Center for Research on Occupational and Environmental Toxicology where she published several papers on neurotoxicology with Dr. Bruce Gold.
While in Medical school she worked at the free clinic and became increasingly interested in surgery. She subsequently completed her internship and surgical residency at Akron General Medical Center in Ohio were she was also on the teaching faculty for Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine. At this level one trauma center she had extensive exposure to trauma, burn, general and minimally invasive surgery, including cancer surgery of the entire GI tract, breast, thyroid, and lung.
After moving to Vancouver her interest in breast cancer surgery continued to increase. She is the chair of the Advanced Breast Clinic and has lead the development of the National Accreditation of the multidisciplinary breast center. Dr. Storm-Dickerson serves on the advisory council for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. In addition, she is active in research and publications in working with PeaceHealth Medical Group Plastic Surgery in the breast esthetic breast cancer surgery that preserves the aesthetic of the breast when possible, using reconstruction, lift reduction and nipple sparing mastectomy.
Personal Interests She loves spending time with her husband and 2 children, golfing and biking.
