We realize support from family and friends is important to a patient's recovery. Although there are posted visiting hours for all areas, close family and friends may remain with the patient with approval from the patient's physician or care provider.
Guest courtesy: To better assist in the patient's recovery, please limit the number of visitors at the patient's bedside. The more ill the patient, the lower the number of visitors who should be in the room. If there is another patient in the room, please extend the same courtesies to them. There are waiting rooms adjacent to each patient care unit for overflow visitors.
General visiting hours: Daily, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. in unrestricted areas.
Intensive and Coronary Care: Immediate family only. To arrange visits in either Intensive or Coronary Care Units, please use the telephone on the wall outside the entrance to the appropriate unit. The primary care nurse will arrange your visit according to the patient's care needs.
Psychiatric Services: Monday through Saturday — 6 to 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday — 2 to 4 p.m.
Your privacy:
- If you have chosen not to be listed in the Patient Directory, anyone looking for you will be told that we have no record of you as a patient. That includes family, friends, florists and mail personnel.
- If you have agreed to be in the Patient Directory, Southwest is permitted by law to release your location and a one-word condition to anyone who asks about you by name.
- If you wish to add or remove your listing in the Patient Directory, please talk to your nurse.
