A little about the success of Pink Power Gone Wild! 2007... May 4, 2007 — Looking exceptionally pretty in pink, more than 700 women helped make history at Pink Power Gone Wild!
Pink Power turned out to be one of the largest
single fundraising events in Clark County history, raising more than
$500,000 to support construction of a new Breast Care Center on the campus
of Southwest Washington Medical Center. The event included food, wine,
music, and dancing. It also featured a Crave Party, showcasing high-end
shopping with local products, designers, and boutiques. |

| Pink Power provided the perfect audience to announce a multimillion dollar gift to benefit the project. Connie Kearney told the crowd that she and her husband, Lee, are donating $2.5 million to the project and will receive the honor of naming the new facility. Connie is a Southwest Foundation Board member and a 10-year breast cancer survivor. Lee Kearney serves on the Southwest Washington Health System Board. |  Connie and Lee Kearney |

"The decision to support this cause is a very personal one for many of our supporters whose lives have been impacted in some way by breast cancer," says Jean Rahn, Executive Director of Southwest Foundation. "They know that their gift will help women in this community get the care they need, from screenings to treatment to recovery."
In its earliest stages of development, the new Breast Care Center is being designed to provide more room and better access to the many services women need in a comforting environment. |

"This will be a comprehensive women's health center that goes beyond breast screening and diagnosis," explains Sherril Allen, RN, Breast Care Center Manager. "The facility gives us room to put our diagnostic services as well as complementary support services under one roof."

Thousands of uninsured and underinsured women in nine counties throughout Southwest Washington receive free mammograms and annual examinations each year through the Washington State Breast and Cervical Health Program. Southwest Washington Medical Center is the prime contractor where many of the program recipients are seen at the Breast Care Center. The Center is currently located in the Physicians' Pavilion, which is also on the Medical Center campus. Fundraising for the new Breast Care Center continues. Your support is appreciated.
