This one time class is for the mother planning on breastfeeding. Learn techniques to help breastfeeding get off to a good start. Even if you have breastfed before this class offers information and strategies, which will help with baby’s first days of feeding, avoiding or coping with common challenges including sleepy babies, engorgement, pumping and storage of breast milk and addressing the emotional and physical needs of the mother. We will also discuss how others can help support the mother in order to promote successful breastfeeding. Support person encouraged to attend.
Please register early and plan to take this class after your 24th week of pregnancy.
