LINK NOW: 15th Anniversary Reunion Registration, August 20 Established in 1995, Family Medicine of Southwest Washington is an unopposed, community-based, University of Washington affiliated program, apart of the University of Washington Family Medicine Residency Network, and sponsored by Southwest Washington Medical Center (SWMC), located in Vancouver, Washington. We are a 21 resident program, fully accredited by the ACGME. Bordering the Columbia River, SWMC is a 360 bed healthcare facility serving the Portland Metro and Southwest Washington regions. Besides active Cardiac, Orthopedic, and Neurosciences programs, SWMC has the West Coast's busiest ER north of San Francisco. At over 4,000 deliveries a year, the Family Birth Center is the second busiest OB unit in this metropolitan area of over 1,000,000 people. FMSW has a diverse population with strengths in OB, Medicine, Practice Management, and Procedures. Our curriculum focuses on the Future of Family Medicine project, with the pleasant lifestyle afforded by a night float schedule.
