PeaceHealth Southwest has been named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® for the sixth time. We’re the only Vancouver/Portland area hospital to achieve Solucient’s recognition for 2006. What does a 100 Top Hospitals® National award mean to the community?
A 100 Top Hospitals® facility is an organization that ranks at or above the top 90 percent on hospital-wide performance when compared with its national peers. The hospital is scored on nine performance measures. Considered together, these nine measures represent how well the hospital performed organization-wide.
Solucient measures how well the hospital is managed by answering these questions:

Are finances stable?

Are the hospital operations efficient?

Is the hospital effectively serving the community as reflected by growth in patients treated in the emergency department, outpatient clinics, ambulatory surgery centers and inpatient care?
