Exceptional Medicine Physicians Journal
Exceptional Medicine is a free, peer publication by credentialed Medical Center staff for regional physicans. Submissions will be editorial-reviewed, and you will be notified promptly regarding preliminary acceptance. The editorial board reserves the right to edit your submission to ensure that it is accurate, is clear, and meets publication guidelines. Unless otherwise noted, we will include your contact information to help encourage dialogue by your peers.

| What to submit |
|
We welcome original contributions that describe your best practices, methods, clinical research, use of new technology, or other medical advances. |
| |
|
|
| Contents |
|
- Cover page with article title, word count, abstract, names and credentials of all contributors, facility, address, email, phone.
- Article text in single-column format, 3000 words maximum preferred.
- Tables and graphics with descriptive titles. For example, instead of simply labeling a graphic as Figure 1, include identifying information such as Figure 1: 5-Year Survival Comparison - Southwest vs. National Oncology Database. Also include explanatory information as appropriate; for example, Compared to national data, Southwest patients tend to have a higher 5-year survival rate for melanoma.
- Summary list of all references.
- Checklist verifying that releases have been obtained from patients, volunteers, photographs, illustrations, previously published works, etc., as noted below.

| Abstract |
|
Your abstract should provide a summary of your article, 250 words maximum. |

| Participants |
|
If patients or volunteers have participated in your research or have been affected by the technology or best practice you are describing, avoid using their real names in your article. Include a statement with your submission that written consent has been obtained by these individuals. To maintain their privacy, you do not need to send their individual consent forms. |

| Artwork |
|
If your article contains photos, illustrations, graphics, video, or other artwork or multimedia, include a statement that written consent has been obtained to use them. TIF or JPG format is preferred for photos and illustrations. |

| References |
|
List all references in numerical order. Verify that they are accurate and complete. |
| |
|
|
| Previously published material |
|
If your article has already been published in print or on the web, it is your responsibility to obtain all copyright release information and approval to reprint. Please include a statement of permission to reprint with your article, including the publication's name and date of publication.
If your article has been submitted to another publication(s) but has not yet been published, please note when and where it has been submitted.
