Board Certified in Family Medicine
Dr. Ruiz, a board certified family physician, practiced in Vancouver for 14 years with PeaceHealth Medical Group Family Medicine (formerly the Family Physicians Group) before coming to FMSW.
After completing his undergraduate work at Stanford University, David attended the University of Washington School of Medicine and fulfilled his family practice residency at Family Medicine Spokane. He is also a graduate of the University of Washington Faculty Development Fellowship and the National Institute of Program Director Development Fellowship.
A bicultural and bilingual personal background has aided in David's care of Clark County’s Hispanic population. His broad scope of practice includes obstetrics and procedural medicine. He has special interest in teaching medical business principles, and practice management. Formerly a professional musician, David continues to play trumpet and flugel horn for personal enjoyment, and catches an occasional steelhead or salmon on the local rivers.
